Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions
I completed DofE Bronze and Silver in 2018 and 2019.
DofE Bronze was a week-long zero-waste trek from Beijing to Hebei, a 20 km/day expedition along the wild Great Wall carrying trash bags to clean up trail trash.
DofE Silver was a 50-kilometre bike ride/day adventure over mountainous terrain. As the group leader, I learned how to fix bikes and navigated our group's route using a paper map.
Hiking
I'm always up for an outdoor adventure!
Having hiked my way across China, my two most memorable hiking trails are Mount Gaoligong in Yunnan, China, and the White Lake in Beijing, China.
Following Beijing conservationist William Lindesay's footsteps, my goal as a hiker would be to walk the entirety of the Great Wall. As the world opens up, I would also love to visit the British equivalent of the Great Wall –– Hadrian's Wall.
